Application Process

Any application and supporting detail, including Official Consultee responses can be viewed on Fylde Borough Council. View Planning Applications On-line.

Objection letters should be sent to the Built Environment Unit, Planning Department, Fylde Borough Council. Town Hall, St Annes. You may also wish to copy in Hadyn Gigg on behalf of the Parish Council and possibly SWAG on savewreagreen@yahoo.com. Please note the FBC Planning website shows the closing date for objections and you MUST meet this date.

All Applciations are considered by the Parish Council. If you want to speak at a Parish Council meeting you must register with Hadyn Gigg, the Parish Clerk. You will have a maximum of 3 minutes to put the issues across.
The Parish Council, having heard all speakers, will vote one whether to recommend approval or refusal.

Fylde Borough Council Planning Department will decide whether to use delegated authority to make a decision, but cannot go against the Parish Council vote using delegated authority.

THe Planning Department with make recommnedations to the Development Control Committee of FBC (made up of councillors) and the planners opinion with appear in the DCC agenda for the monthly meeting together with reasons and relevant planning policies. If you want to speak at a DCC Meeting (maximum 3 minutes you must register with Lyndseyl @fylde.gov.uk.

Once the DCC have made their decision there is NO appeal by residents but there is an appeal process for the applicant.
